Academy is owned and operated by Jim Jacobson, instructor and repair
specialist with more than 40 years experience in the sewing machine
industry. He has also operated his own sewing and vacuum shop since
1973 in Central California.
Internationally recognized in the
sewing industry, Jim has received numerous awards for his teaching
skills and "user friendly" seminars at international conventions and
trade shows.
Jim has received factory training which includes
European, American, and Japanese machines, and is professionally
equipped and able to teach the technicians of tomorrow. He is also an
international author and producer. He has written over 30 published
articles for the industry and has produced 27 instructional DVDs for
